I write novels, I produce radio shows for the CBC, and I run really long distances.
26 miles, 50 miles, sometimes 100 miles at a time. I am what they call an ultra-runner.
At CBC, I get to write and produce this hilarious quiz show:
You can listen to it if you want. Or come to one of our live tapings in Toronto! The show airs every Saturday morning at 11 a.m. on CBC Radio One.

Fabulous site/posts…makes me want to go out for a quiet stroll and then read a book with a nice warm cuppa tea by my side. I think some were raised to run, others to read. No, maybe I’ll go to a restorative yoga class too and contemplate inner wilderness along with cracking joints. All this to say that it’s hard for me to imagine a world where I ran even short distances, I love your take on things… Thanks also for the “man who lived on a bike” video. And the wee bats in blankets. Sign me up for reading about your running and writing.
Love the story! Looking forward to following and hearing more! 🙂
Love the blog! I have a far-fetched goal of completing an ultra in the future. Just a baby runner now training for my first marathon. Look forward to hearing more about you! 🙂
Aww thanks so much! Have fun with the marathon training…. There’s nothing like the thrill of the first one – the exhilaration, the anguish, the euphoria! You can do it!!
Hi I am doing. Book Report on Ultra and I was wondering if I could get a few more facts about you for the report. I love the book😃
